A pregnant woman was killed by dogs in forest land in northern France while a hunt with hounds was happening in the area, investigators have said. The body of the 29-year-old, who was walking her own dogs, was discovered near the town of Villers-Cotterêts. She died after “several dog bites to the upper and lower limbs and the head,” prosecutor Frederic Trinh said. Tests on 93 dogs were being carried out in an attempt to establish which of the dogs were responsible for the attack. Five dogs belonging to the woman were among those being tested. The president of Oxford Union has resigned over a row involving a blind student who was “violently” removed from a society debate. Ebenezer Azamati was “accosted” by a security guard when he tried to return to a seat he had earlier reserved before the discussion on 17 October. On Saturday, he was cleared of any wrongdoing. President of the society Brendan McGrath apologised for his “mistakes” and resigned. The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released provisional results of private candidates who sat for the 2019 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE). Per a release issued by WAEC, some 102, 278 candidates comprising of 51, 935 males and 55, 488 females registered for the exams. Out of the total number, 5, 145 absentees were recorded. Results of some 753 candidates have been withheld for allegedly engaging in various forms of examination malpractices, one of which is bringing mobile phones into the exams hall. Tests had found some of the Indian-manufactured Life Guard brand contained holes or risked bursting, Uganda’s National Drug Authority (NDA) said. Marie Stopes provides contraception and family planning services in more than 35 countries. Nearly 6% of adults in Uganda live with HIV, the UN says.
