A 32 year old man, Abudulai Mustapha, who is believed to be mentally challenged was allegedly shot and killed by police in Daboya in the North Gonja District of Savannah Region, according to an eye witness account. The deceased is said to have allegedly stabbed a police inspector and a community police personnel with a knife. President Donald Trump directly asked about a Ukrainian investigation into his Democratic rival Joe Biden, a top US diplomat has unveiled. Bill Taylor, the acting ambassador to Ukraine, told an impeachment inquiry that a member of his staff was told Mr Trump was keen to push for the probe. No-one has got married in a village in Kano state, Nigeria, in the past four months after its chief imposed a wedding tax. Ado Sa’id, the chief of Kera village in north-west Nigeria, wants grooms to pay 137,000 naira ($377, £294). This is instead of the current custom of the groom giving presents like furniture and kitchen ware to the bride’s family when they get married. The Judicial Service Staff Association (JUSAG) has questioned the competence of the National Labour Commission (NLC) in declaring as illegal, the strike by judicial workers across the country. Judicial workers on Wednesday, November 13 embarked on indefinite strike to push for a review of their current salaries for implementation in next year, and not 2021 as suggested by government. Government has announced it will from next year embark on construction of massive road infrastructure across the country. Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta said Wednesday that the Akufo-Addo government has voted money for construction of major roads in all the 16 regions and  fixing of others which are in deplorable state. Deplorable state of some major roads across the country have recently triggered protests from residents in those areas, particularly in the Volta, Western and Ashanti regions, with some vowing not to vote in next year’s election. Authorities at St Charles Minor Seminary Senior High School in Tamale have appealed to government and other organizations to support the school in renovating two of its dormitory blocks which were burnt to ashes in 2017. Two dormitories accommodating over 700 students were burnt in 2017 and has since not been renovated. Headmaster of the school, Polycarp Kuusokub Beyelle, said the situation has affected enrollment and other academic activities.
