Former Minister of Information Baba Jamal has been elected the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the March 3 by-election in the Ayawaso East Constituency.
The Ghana High Commissioner to Nigeria polled 431 of the valid votes cast to emerge victorious.
His closest contender, Hajia Amina Adams, who is also the widow of the late Member of Parliament, garnered 339 votes.
