Burkina Faso ambassador lauds Bissa Fitness Club

The Bissa Fitness Club (BFC) continued its engagement of some prominent individuals ahead of their October launch with a visit to Burkina Faso Ambassador Pingrenoma Zagre at the Embassy of Burkina Faso in Accra, Ghana.

The visit was aimed at formally introducing the group to the Ambassador as well as inviting him to the launch of the club scheduled for October 5, 2019 at the Wembley Sports Complex, Kotobabi, Accra.

The group has set its sight on consulting some eminent members of the Bissa fraternity as well as adjoining tribes to foster unity and create awareness of its activities and also on the upcoming launch.

Receiving the BFC (GH) delegation, the evidently elated high-ranking diplomat could not hide his feeling at the gesture from executives of the club.

His Excellency Pingrenoma Zagre said, “I am overwhelmingly thrilled that you have chosen to visit me and to tell me about the Bissa Fitness Club.”

“I must admit I have heard about your club and the activities that you are engaged in before coming here, and, I want to congratulate you all from the President and all other executives right through the general membership. It is not an easy task bringing together people of all kinds whatsoever and so, for you to have taken such a step is very commendable. My advice to you the leadership of the club is to exhibit patience in adversity because you may face some challenges.

“Bissa people worldwide are known for their hard work and honesty, and I pray that young people like you will stay true to the values held high by the older generation.

“I want to thank you for inviting me to the launching, and I promise to honor it. I will also offer my support to ensure that you have a successful program.”

President of Bissa Fitness Club  Hussein Hassan Yorda, who led the delegation, thanked the Ambassador for his warm reception.

“My team and I appreciate you taking time off your busy schedule to welcome us, we will not disappoint you.”

He added: “Although Bissa people spread across five West African Countries (Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo, Ivory Coast, Benin), it is factually known that the ancestral home of all Bissas is Burkina Faso. It is for this reason that we thought, we cannot hold such an event without consulting the highest body representing Burkina Faso in Ghana, and only thought it wise to be here.

“Thank you very much for your support. We hope to see you God willing on the 5th, October.” He concluded.”

On his part, Alhaji Issaka Osman Nombre, a member of the planning committee for the launch of the club said, “We know the future is youth and so, we are giving these young men all the support that we can to ensure that when our leaders phase out, there’ll not be vacuum in terms of leaders who will take up the mantle and keep up the development of Bissa and Ghana at large.”

The Planning Committee of the BFC (GH) launch will in the next few weeks schedule meetings with Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah and some prominent members of the Bissa family, including Minister for Inner Cities and Zongo Dr. Mustapha Hamid and former Deputy Foreign Minister Emmanuel Bombande.

The club has also outlined outreach programmes to embark on, as part of activities towards the launch.
