Ashanti Region Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has declared his intention to contest the National Chairman position.
“I, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi), having consulted my Maker and sought the counsel of party elders, hereby declare my intention to serve as National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party,” he announced in a statement released on Wednesday, February 4.
He said he is going for the national executive position not out of “personal ambition, but to strengthen, rebuild, and unify our great party”.
He pointed out that with the challenges the NPP has gone through recently, it needs leadership that is “steady, principled and committed to unity”.
He said the party needs a leader who values every member from elders to the allies and willing to make sacrifices.
“Leadership at this moment requires bravery – the courage to stand firm, make difficult decisions, and be willing to lose everything if necessary for the NPP.
“We are ready. We are organised. We are built for the battle ahead.”
He assured members that together the confidence of the party will be restored as they empower grassroots and “position the NPP to win decisively in 2028”.
“This is our moment to rise, to lead, and to deliver for the NPP.”
