The presidential elections of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is heading into a final round after two previous rounds failed to produce an outright winner.

The winner was supposed to garner 50 per cent plus one vote but Kurt Okraku, who won the two previous rounds of voting, failed to secure the required percentage.

In both rounds, he was followed by George Afriyie.

The elections will now be a two-horse race between the Dreams FC Chief Executive Officer and the former Vice President of the GFA.

Mr Okraku polled 44 votes in the first round and secured 15 more votes in the second round.

His closest contender in the two rounds of voting, George Afriyie, added only 3 votes to his first 40 votes.

Nana Yaw Amponsah, who has remained behind the two front-runners, had his 27 first-round votes drop to 16.

The final round of voting will elect the next President of the Ghana Football Association, taking over from Kwesi Nyantakyi, whose tenure was truncated by the investigative piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
