A lawyer and the niece of President Akufo-Addo has brought the wife of the Asantehene, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, into the spotlight concerning the controversial Agyapade3 book, alleging that she was the one who initially provided her with a copy.

Aku Akufo revealed that she first encountered the book, purported to contain insights into the President and his family’s activities in Ghana, in 2020.

She claims that Lady Julia, whom she asserts is a family member, sent someone to deliver a copy to her. Despite her certainty regarding Lady Julia’s involvement with the book, she did not disclose the identity of the individual who personally delivered it to her. The author of the book remains unidentified.

“I can tell them where I got it because I have made it public. It came from the person who gave it to me, Afua, which was said to be Lady Julia, Otumfuo’s wife, who instructed him to give it to me.

Otumfuo’s wife is related to us. What do I stand to gain by implicating people’s names?” she stated. In a recent interview on Accra FM’s ‘Citizen Show,’ Aku stated that although she had extensively discussed the book, it did not gain significant attention until months later when a dismissed member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hopeson Adorye, brought it to the forefront in the media.

A former Ashanti Regional Minister and former ambassador, Daniel Ohene Agyakum, corroborated Aku’s account, affirming that she had first informed him about the book in 2020 when it initially surfaced.

Taking aim at the President and some of his family members, Aku expressed her awareness of the harm her uncle had caused the country, indicating her belief in the contents of the book. “I know the damage they have caused this country.

The document Agyapade3, have you read it? I disclosed the details of the Agyapade3 document in 2020 at 11 pm, but Ghanaians did not take it seriously then.

Thanks to Hopeson Adorye, it has now gained acceptance by many Ghanaians. So, if someone tells you the NDC wrote it, I am Akufo-Addo’s niece, and I am in Ghana speaking,” she emphasized. Aku, a firm supporter of the failed NPP presidential aspirant, Ken Ohene Agyapong, maintained that the document represents a meticulously devised scheme by the President and his family members to exploit the country’s resources.

She asserts that everything detailed in the book has been carried out over time, resulting in these individuals amassing great wealth despite having had little to boast about previously.

Regarding her family relationships, Aku explained that her mother and President Akufo-Addo are first cousins, with their respective fathers having been siblings to former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta’s father.

She also mentioned her stepfather being the NPP luminary, BJ Dan Rocha, and her familiarity with figures like Agyenim Boateng.

Expressing her support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Mahama, she criticized her uncle for allegedly imposing the NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, on the party and the nation.

“I am against my uncle, President Akufo-Addo, because he wants to impose Dr. Bawumia on Ghana, which is unheard of. My brother, have you ever heard of anything like this before? Where in the world does a president force his vice upon the people?” she questioned.

She claimed that many members of the Ofori-Atta family at Kyebi are embarrassed by the actions of the president and the likes of her other uncles Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko and Ken Ofori –Atta and also executive secretary to the President Nana Asante Bediatuo, who was recently struck with stroke in the United States (US).

The family, she claimed are appalled by the way the country has been ran by the President and his vice president.

Without mincing words, Aku told host Kwabena Bobie Ansah how President Akufo-Addo vindictively schemed to clear Fiifi Ofori-Atta from his side after he

tried to contest him as a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Abuakwa South constituency seat. “Let me tell you something, I have a lot of family members who call to commend me of course because everyone who bears Ofori-Atta feels shy to go out. Almost everybody within the family disagrees with Akufo-Addo and Bawumia behaviour even my uncle Fiifi Ofori-Atta, he is in the camp of Alan Kyerematen”.

He is my mother’s first cousin. It is was because of Kwabena Agyapong that Nana Addo punished him. One day you may have to bring him to the station that is how vindictive are.

That is how vindictive President Akufo-Addo, Bediatuo, Gabby are. I think he tried to contest in our area, i think he was trying to contest the president

himself [as MP]. And there was something in association with Kwabena Agyapongso they cut him off. He [Kwabena Agyapong] is a hypocrite himself. When I heard that Bediatuo was sick the first thing I said is they should bring him to sleep inAgenda 111”, she said in conclusion.
