The 2019 AFCON is in motion with surprises and ecstatic experience. As Ghanaians wait to witness their successful turn against the Benin side, many are those who have thrown their weights behind them with strong believe that, in this Year of Return, the trophy which has eluded the land for long would be brought to Ghana—the Gate to Africa.
Among the many Ghanaians supporting the gallant Black Stars in Ghana are also Creative artistes of which the multi-award winning young Ghanaian poet & spoken word artiste—Oswald Okaitei—is part.
Oswald has collaborated with a young aspiring spoken word artiste—Euodia Attram—to present a stunning spoken word piece dubbed “GO BLACK STARS; GO AND GLOW!” written by Oswald Okaitei. It has Wiyaala’s GO GO BLACK STARS as background music.
GO BLACK STARS; GO AND GLOW!” implores the Black Stars to be at their best and bring joy to the many million Ghanaians who have for long, thirsted to see the trophy. The piece was shot at a number of locations—including the Independence Arch space, Jamestown community, Dansoman Turf Park & Chorkor- Alhaji Community Park. It was edited by Saani Hallil with videography handled by Chris Tsikata.
