Ghana midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has been slapped with two new counts of rape, NewsfileGH.com gathers.
The new counts were authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service and scheduled to heard at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 13.
The Villarreal midfielder had previously faced five counts of rape and one charge of sexual account at the Southwark Crown Court with trial set to begin on Monday, November 2.
The former Arsenal midfielder had denied all the allegations.
He was granted bail to notify the police of any international travel 24 hours in advance and must not contact the complainants.
