The Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Malik Basintale, has paid an official visit to Northshore Apparel Ghana at Savelugu, reaffirming government’s commitment to expanding youth employment through private sector partnerships.
The visit formed part of efforts to assess ongoing job creation initiatives and strengthen collaboration with industries capable of absorbing skilled young workers. Mr Basintale was accompanied by the Deputy CEO in charge of Operations, Abubakari Saana Abdul Kudus, and other directors of the agency.

The delegation toured the factory, observing production processes, training modules and quality control systems aimed at preparing young people for careers in the garment and apparel industry.

Following engagements with management, Mr Basintale announced YEA’s commitment to recruit 1,000 young people for training and subsequent employment at Northshore Apparel Ghana.

He said the initiative reflects the agency’s focus on practical partnerships that deliver sustainable and decent jobs, particularly for young people in the Northern Region, translating policy into measurable employment outcomes.
