British-trained lawyer Amanda Akuokor Clinton has been given a shock of her life as she secured no votes in the GFA presidential elections.
She was one of the two candidates – the other being lawyer George Ankomah Mensah – not to have garnered any votes.
The elections at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons saw one vote, however, rejected by the Electoral Commission, Ghana.
Dreams FC owner Kurt Okraku, however, emerged victorious with 44 votes, two more than his closest contender George Afriyie.
There is going to be a second round as a result of the inability by any of the candidates to secure 50 per cent plus one vote.
Nana Yaw Amponsah managed to sail through to the second round after polling 27 votes more than a former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Frederick Pappoe.
Fred Pappoe, Papsey as he is affectinately called, withdrew from the second round.
