Black Stars captain Andre Dede Ayew is being monitored by the medical team to advise whether he can be available for selection on Saturday.
The Stars play defending champions Cameroon in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in their second Group F match.
They drew 2-2 with Benin in the first game played at the Ismailia Stadium.
Dede Ayew was substituted in the second half after reportedly picking an injury.
He – together with Thomas Agyepong – sat out the recovery training of the team on Wednesday.
According to a release from the Normalisation Committee, the availability of the captain, who opened the scoring for Ghana in the tournament, will depend on how he responds to treatment.
Meanwhile, Agyepong has been ruled out of Saturday’s game.
He picked an injury in the first half of the draw with Benin, going out for Samuel Owusu in the 35th minute.
Though he was substituted as a precautionary measure like in the case of Dede Ayew, further medical tests have revealed that the Hibernian midfielder will not play a part in the game against the Indomitable Lions.
He will join John Boye on the sidelines as the defender was red carded in the game against Benin.
