The Chairman of the Manifesto Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Kwaku Danso Boafo, says the drafted document to guide the electioneering campaign of the party was based on “reliable, valid and verifiable data”.
He said consultations covered a wide range of individuals and civil society groups, who had specific concerns that needed to be brought to the fore.
For him, the 2020 manifesto of the NDC, dubbed ‘The People’s Manifesto’, will win the party the December 7 elections.
“We have produced a document whose philosophy is not only grassroots-based, people-oriented, inclusive and bottom-up, but more importantly, a winning document,” he stated.
He was addressing members of the party at the launch of the document at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
“Our manifesto is based on reliable, valid and verifiable data.”
Earlier, the General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, had indicated that the manifesto will solve, once and for all, all the developmental challenges Ghana has been faced with since independence.
“I am very confident that the age-long problem of underdevelopment for this country is going to be solved once and for all by the People’s Manifesto, a manifesto that is derived out of what the people think is good for them.”
