Nana Egyir Ahor l[/caption] Nana Egyir Ahor l, the Gyaasehene of Gomoa Akramang in the Gomoa East District of Central region has been shot dead. The incident happened Monday morning when a group of young men attacked his house around 9:00am. Mr Samuel Essoun, a resident, confirmed the incident in an interview with 3news Central regional correspondent Kwame Kakraba. He claimed the Gyaasehene on Sunday shot an Ewe man who lives in the community on the shoulder. This, he said, angered his people who mounted a search for the chief without success on Sunday. According to Mr. Essoun, the group returned Monday morning and started destroying the deceased’s house amidst firing of gunshots from all angles. Finally, Nana Egyir Ahor emerged from his room but the people did not cease fire and rather gun him down. About six persons have since been arrested by the police to assist in investigations. Meanwhile, the man who was allegedly shot by the Gyaasehene is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Winneba. Source: 3news.com / Ghana]]>
