Asamoah Gyan is used to all the attention and adulation but on Sunday he was receiving a different kind as he celebrated his 35th birthday.
The former Ghana captain has lived under the spotlight since he broke on the international scene in 2003 with the Black Stars and that football theme was present in the birthday wishes that flowed his way

The football website Goal wished him a Happy Birthday with photos of him celebrating a goal for the Black Stars and Sunderland .
Meanwhile the official FIFA World Cup account threw back to the first of Gyan’s six World Cup goals with a video of his strike for Ghana against Czech Republic in 2006 under the caption “Happy 35th birthday to Africa’s all time record scorer in the World Cup.”
