Black Stars striker Jordan Ayew has completed a move to Championship side Sheffield United on a one-year deal.
He becomes the final player to be added to the squad as per regulations of the FA.
Ayew, who last played in the championship for Leicester City, is expected to join up with his new teammates immediately.
The former Aston Villa player expressed excitement about the deal, commending Chris Wilder and his players for quick negotiations to get him.
“I’m really, really pleased to be here,” he said.
“The manager and the club made a great effort to get me here as quick as possible, so I want to thank everyone for their support and for them to bring me over to the Blades and hopefully we’ll have a great season.”
Jordan admitted he did not think about the deal twice when he had the call from Chris Wilder.
“I didn’t think twice, I just took the opportunity, and the most important thing is for me to help the team and obviously for us to have a great season.”
Blades Manager Wilder extolled the qualities of the Black Stars captain.
“We’re talking about someone here with bags of experience from right at the top level of the game.
“Only a few months ago he was captaining Ghana in the World Cup, so he’s someone with real pedigree.”
