Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah has secured a permanent deal to Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi.
The deal was announced a few hours after the club exited the CAF Confederation Cup on Friday, October 24.
The Porcupine Warriors had lost by 6-1 on aggregate to Moroccan giants Wydad AC to miss the group stage of the continent’s second-tier club competition.
Amoah failed to score in both legs despite scoring twice in the first leg of the first preliminary round against Kwara United. That match ended 4-3 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
“We can confirm the permanent transfer of forward Albert Amoah to Libyan side AL AHLY BENGHAZI,” the club indicated on Friday.
They expressed gratitude to the former Legon Cities striker “for his services to the club and his achievements with us”.
“We wish him the very best for the future.”
