The Vetting and Appointments Committee of Parliament has decided on Monday, November 10 as date for the vetting of Acting Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie for a substantive role.
Justice Baffoe-Bonnie was nominated by President John Dramani Mahama to replace ousted Gertrude Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo.
After resuming on Tuesday, October 21, the Committee met two days later to consider the date for the public vetting.
As agreed by all members, the vetting will take place at the Speaker’s Conference Room on Monday, November 10.
However, the dismissed Chief Justice has filed a suit at the High Court for a judicial review on the vetting and appointment of her successor.
