The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) is arraigning suspect Sampson Azumah before the courts today, Wednesday, November 19 for allegedly stabbing a firefighter.
The incident happened last Friday at Adjiringanor, where the firefighters had bee called in over a raging inferno.
He was later arrested after tipoff by some residents in Madina.
He has been in police custody assisting in investigations.
The suspect will be arraigned before the Achimota Circuit Court over charges related to causing harm to a public officer.
“We commend the White Chapel Youth Group at Madina and all members of the public whose swift actions and timely information led to his arrest,” GNFS said in a release on Tuesday night.
“Your cooperation continues to enhance community safety and support justice.”
