The debate on the 2026 budget statement and government’s economic policy for the year ending December 31, 2026 is set for conclusion today, Thursday, November 27.
This will be exactly two weeks since the Minister of Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, delivered the budget.
It was themed: ‘Resetting for Growth, Jobs and Economic Transformation’.
Debate on the budget began on Tuesday, November 18, five days after it was presented to the House.
The conclusion of debate will hand leadership of the legislature the sole responsibility to make their statements.
“The leadership’s concluding remarks will highlight key insights, priority areas across sector and the strategic direction envisioned for the 2026 fiscal year,” a statement signed by Parliament’s Director for Media Relations, David Sebastian Damoah, said.
“Stakeholders are encouraged to pay close attention to the address and prepare for subsequent internal briefings.”
