The National Petroleum Authority (NPA), in partnership with COMAC, the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD) and other major stakeholders, has hosted the 2025 Downstream CEOs Breakfast Meeting, bringing together industry leaders to chart a progressive path for Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.

The annual gathering has become a strategic platform for dialogue among top executives, policymakers and operators whose decisions collectively shape the industry’s direction.

This year’s meeting focused on fostering bold conversations around the sector’s performance, with participants exploring ways to deepen collaboration and strengthen regulatory systems.

Attendees emphasised the need for enhanced operational efficiency and better coordination across the value chain to support national economic objectives.

Stakeholders also highlighted the importance of maintaining transparency and accountability as the market evolves.

Deliberations further centred on emerging challenges and new opportunities within the downstream space.

Industry players exchanged insights on global market trends, supply chain disruptions, and the increasing demand for digitisation in petroleum operations.

The dialogue underscored the critical role of technological innovation in improving service delivery, safety standards, and competitiveness.

Participants also examined policy directions required to drive sustainable growth, noting that consistent regulatory reforms and supportive government interventions remain essential to ensuring stability.

The meeting encouraged continued engagement between regulators and private operators to promote a business environment that supports investment and long-term value creation.

The NPA reiterated that the 2025 edition of the CEOs Breakfast Meeting signals a renewed commitment to strengthening partnerships and advancing industry transformation.

According to the Authority, collaboration, innovation and resilience will be central to the sector’s journey as Ghana pursues a more efficient, future-ready downstream petroleum industry.
