The Ministry has engaged the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC) in a comprehensive review of its 2025 performance, as part of efforts to align priorities for 2026 and strengthen delivery across the energy sector.
The review session focused on improving execution, unlocking new opportunities and positioning the Corporation to deliver greater value throughout the energy value chain. Officials said the engagement formed part of the Ministry’s broader strategic planning process aimed at enhancing efficiency and accountability within key state institutions.
The PHDC was described as central to the government’s investment drive in the energy sector, playing a critical role in infrastructure development, attracting private sector participation and supporting long-term energy security.
Looking ahead to 2026, the Ministry said its focus would be on deepening investor confidence and accelerating priority projects under the Petroleum Hub initiative. These efforts, officials noted, are expected to help transform the country’s energy landscape, create employment opportunities and support sustainable economic growth.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the PHDC to ensure that planned projects are delivered on schedule and aligned with national development goals.
