The Ghana Education Service (GES) has dismissed as false a letter circulating on social media claiming that recruitment into the Service has begun.
In a statement issued on Friday, January 23, 2026, the GES said management had taken note of the document, which it described as fake and not issued by the Service. It stressed that no recruitment exercise is currently underway.
The GES cautioned the public against relying on unverified information shared online, warning that such claims could mislead job seekers and expose them to fraud.
According to the statement, any official recruitment process will be formally announced through the Service’s authorised communication channels. Until then, the public has been urged to disregard all recruitment notices not published on GES’s official platforms.
The clarification follows growing concern over the spread of misinformation on social media, particularly regarding public sector employment opportunities.
The statement was signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at the Ghana Education Service, who reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to transparency and timely communication with the public.
