Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was also sworn in.

Thousands of Ghanaians trooped to the venue to cheer and chant victory songs in support of the new leaders.

Heads of state from several countries including Togo, Gabon, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Zambia, Benin, Nigeria and Guinea were at the venue to grace the occasion.
