The former Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, has taken on the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) over a recent Facebook publication. Oil-marketing firm GOIL PLC has cautioned the public against any video announcing a government-backed gold project or a customer reward scheme. A video circulating on social media depicts the Managing Director of GOIL, Edward Abambire Bawa, announcing such a scheme. But the company insists that the video “is fake, deceitful, and clearly generated using artificial intelligence (AI) for fraudulent purposes”. The National Sports Authority (NSA) has announced the lifting of the ban on all sporting activities in the country. The Authority says the suspension will be officially lifted on Thursday, November 6 following successful consultations with the Ministry of Sports and Recreation and the Interim Management Committee (IMC) overseeing the normalisation process of the sport. A 14-year-old British boy who took his parents to court after they sent him to boarding school in Africa must remain there until at least the end of his GCSEs, a High Court judge has ruled.
