The total of confirmed coronavirus cases has surged past 50 million following record numbers of new cases in several countries. More than 1.25 million people have now died after contracting the virus, according to Johns Hopkins university. Ghana’s active cases of coronavirus has recently flared up in what has become a worry to all and sundry including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. From about 397 active cases barely a fortnight ago, the current active cases are 1,156, almost at par with what was recorded at the end of August (1,159). The fifty-year-old police inspector who went missing after going to check his plot of land at Asuboi in the Ayensuano District of the Eastern Region has been found dead floating on a river close to his land.
