Ghana’s coronavirus case count has risen from 15,013 cases on Wednesday to 15,472 on Thursday, June 25. The new total cumulative cases were confirmed by the Director General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, at the bi-weekly Covid-19 update on Thursday. Dr Kuma-Aboagye indicated that there are no new deaths, keeping the figure still at 95. He also said the number of recoveries had risen to 11,433 while the active cases are 3,947. Out of the 3,947, 22 were confirmed by Dr Kuma-Aboagye to be in “severe” conditions while six were said to be in “critical” conditions.…

Russia has begun voting on constitutional reforms that could allow President Vladimir Putin to serve another two terms in office. The official vote is scheduled for 1 July, but authorities said they were opening polling stations a week early to stop overcrowding amid the pandemic. A Senior Seismologist has advised Ghanaians to brace up for more earth tremors this year, and even that could lead to earthquakes. A large part of Ghana’s capital city, Accra, and other surrounding areas experienced earth tremors late Wednesday. The slight movements of the earth occurred between 10:40pm and 10:50pm. The magnitude of the tremors has not been officially measured but most residents who felt the incident said it happened three times in a spate of 10 minutes.
