Final year students of the Kpandai Senior High School who fled campus after a misunderstanding with their teachers are returning to the school. Security personnel deployed to the school have also been withdrawn. On Wednesday, July 15, a misunderstanding ensued between the students and their teachers over an alleged use of mobile phone by a student. Staff of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) are protesting a directive by the Minister of Communications to have channels of their employer on the national digital terrestrial television (DTT) network reduced from six to three. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the 2020/21 league season will start in the second week of October should the government approve it. The bodies of the two police officers suspected to have drowned while chasing some armed robbers in Krobo, a suburb of Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, have been retrieved. The police announced on Friday, July 17 that the bodies were retrieved from the Oda River.
