The Country Director of the World Bank, Pierre Frank Laporte, has said money for Ghana’s tourism sector is now being finalised by the Bretton Wood institution. The Bono East Region has become the 15th region in Ghana to record a case of the deadly coronavirus disease, an official of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has said. Two male suspects have been arrested by the Suhum Police Command for impersonation, extortion and robbery, among other offences. The suspects are Solomon Aquah, 25, and Prince Obeng, 20. The US has passed 100,000 deaths in the coronavirus outbreak in less than four months. It has seen more fatalities than any other country, while its 1.69 million confirmed infections account for about 30% of the worldwide total. Driver of a fully loaded Diesel tanker and his mate escaped unhurt after their vehicle was smashed by a train at a rail crossing near New Takoradi in the Western Region on Wednesday morning. According to some eye witnesses, the diesel tanker was heading to a fuel depot in New Takoradi but unfortunately had its engine stop right on the rail road. An oncoming train, which was heading towards Kojokrom from the Takoradi Harbor direction hit the rear of the tanker causing it to overturn.
