President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed a former Deputy Director of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr Anarfi Asamoa-Baah, as the Presidential Coordinator for Government’s Coronavirus Response Programme. Dr Asamoa-Baah is expected to be President Akufo-Addo’s point man for Ghana’s response effort. All games in England’s Premier League, EFL, Women’s Super League and Women’s Championship, and all fixtures in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, are currently postponed. Ghana has now officially recorded six cases of the coronavirus disease as of Sunday, March 15. This was confirmed by the Head of Public Health of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Badu Sarkodie, at a press briefing on Sunday.
