Two Chinese have been arrested at Krofufruom in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region engaged in illegal mining. This follows a routine intelligence-led operation conducted by the Monitoring and Evaluation Team of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM) on Friday. The fugitive leader of the Islamic State (IS) group killed himself during a US military operation in north-west Syria, President Donald Trump has said. Mozambique’s opposition has called for a re-run of the general election alleging intimidation, violence and vote rigging, claims the ruling party denies.
