Two Chinese have been arrested at Krofufruom in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region engaged in illegal mining. This follows a routine intelligence-led operation conducted by the Monitoring and Evaluation Team of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM) on Friday. The fugitive leader of the Islamic State (IS) group killed himself during a US military operation in north-west Syria, President Donald Trump has said. Mozambique’s opposition has called for a re-run of the general election alleging intimidation, violence and vote rigging, claims the ruling party denies. Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku will head the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for at least the next four years. This was as a result of him winning the presidential elections held at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra on Friday, October 25.
