The Eastern Regional branch of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it is poised to wrestle the remaining six seats from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 parliamentary elections.

The six constituencies, Afram Plains North, Upper West Akim, Lower Manya Krobo, Afram Plains South, Yilo Krobo and Asuogyaman are occupied by the opposition NDC, but the ruling NPP is determined to wrestle them from the NDC.

The party occupies 20 out of the 32 constituencies in the Region.

The Regional Secretary, Jeff Konadu Addo, in an interview with Onua FM’s Yen Sempa on Tuesday, explained that the party would sell the good policies of President Nana Akufo-Addo and his government to these constituencies to enable them change their voting pattern in the 2020 elections.

“We have six constituencies in the region which are not for us and we shall sell our message to them to win them,” he indicated.

Below are the number people who filed to contest various constituencies in the region on the ticket of the NPP:
