The entire Kojokrom township in the Sekondi/Takoradi metropolis has been thrown into state of shock and sombreness after a 26-year-old man was crashed to death by a cargo train around 1pm, Saturday. Since 2014, over 96,000 women in northern Ghana saved USD $7.8 million – or about GH¢42,659,747 – and invested the money to improve the health, education, nutrition, and economic opportunities of their families. The wanted man who is alleged to have shot and killed the two officers near the Liberia camp in Kasoa last Wednesday has been nabbed. Eric Kojo Duah was arrested Saturday morning by the police while heading to Volta Region. India has published the final version of a list which effectively strips about 1.9 million people in the north-eastern state of Assam of their citizenship. The National Register of Citizens (NRC) is a list of people who can prove they came to the state by 24 March 1971, the day before neighbouring Bangladesh declared independence from Pakistan. Thousands of fans have gathered in Ivory Coast’s capital Abidjan to pay tribute to musician DJ Arafat. The 33-year-old Ivorian, whose real name was Ange Didier Huon, died in a motorcycle accident earlier this month.
