Liberia has been named number one in the world when it comes to helping strangers, according to the World Giving Index, an annual ranking of people’s generosity. Helping strangers is one of the three criteria the UK-based Charities Aid Foundation used to draw up the overall index of generosity. Families of the Takoradi Girls were on Wednesday left stranded for four hours at the Sekondi High Court on a day the court was scheduled to resume hearing of the alleged kidnapping of their relatives. The Member of Parliament for Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam Constituency, Cassiel Ato Forson, has described as illegal an instruction by the Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, to telecommunications companies to conceal new tariff deductions on the Communications Service Tax (CST).
