The police in Kumasi have invited three persons to assist with investigation in connection with the murder of Otumfuo’s Asamponhene, Oheneba Kwadwo Afoduor. The 46-year-old was stabbed multiple times to death by unknown assailants at Ebuom on the Ejura-Nkronza highway Sunday evening. Relatives, friends, and sympathisers trooped to the house of the deceased at Krofrom to commiserate with the family Monday morning. Some family members could not control their tears when the news team visited the deceased house. The family wants justice to be served. The vehicle of the Asamponhene, Oheneba Kwadwo Fodjour, was reportedly involved in an accident on the Ejura-Nkoranza road but when the police got to the scene, they realized he had rather been stabbed to death. Three friends, who conspired and robbed a student in his house at Domiabra-Dadiaso in the Suaman District, have been convicted to serve 144 months by the Enchi District Magistrate Court. Dacosta Ackah, alias Kofi Sakayena, a farmer; Yaw Daniel alias Yaw Jarule, a labour; and Kofi Isaac alias Kofi Krado, a mechanic; were each sentenced to 48 months jail term with hard labour by the Court presided over by Mr Eric Baah Boateng.
