Mali’s former Defence Minister Bah Ndaw has been appointed interim president while coup leader Colonel Assimi Goita will serve as his deputy, state television has announced. The Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency, George Mireku Duker, has reportedly sustained hand injury during an altercation with Western Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Charles Bissiw. Leadership of opposition parties in the Ashanti Region have asked aggrieved registered nurses and midwives to deepen their industrial action. The registered nurses and midwives Association on Monday laid down their tools in protest against poor conditions of service. The Greater Accra Regional Secretariat of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) has disbursed GH¢19,620,100 to beneficiaries from 2017 till date. GH¢16, 322, 100 out of the amount was given to 783 groups while GH¢3,298,000 was given to individuals in the Region.
