Ghana’s leading media and communications firm Media General says it will engage the National Communications Authority (NCA) following the inclusion of 3FM, one of its subsidiary radio stations, in the list of defaulting media firms. The list by NCA contained 131 media stations accused of various infractions some which are non-payment of license renewals. The Minority in Parliament has slammed the National Communications Authority (NCA) over a recent exercise to impose sanctions on defaulting radio stations. About 131 stations have been affected with some facing closure. The 12 labour unions fighting government over the second-tier pensions have suspended their intentions to embark on an indefinite strike on Friday.
