North Korea has carried out another ballistic missile test, days after a new president took office in the South. Japanese officials say the missile, which launched from north-western Kusong, reached an altitude of 2,000km. Tight security is in place across Paris for the inauguration of Emmanuel Macron as France’s president. Mr Macron, an independent, won a resounding victory in last weekend’s second round of voting against the far-right candidate Marine Le Pen. International ratings agency Fitch has revised the outlook on Ghana’s long-term foreign and local currency Issuer Default Ratings (IDR) from negative to stable. Fitch has also affirmed the issue ratings on Ghana’s senior unsecured foreign and local currency bonds at ‘B’, as well as the ‘BB-‘ rating on Ghana’s $1 billion partially guaranteed notes. Angry soldiers have blocked off access to Bouaké, the second largest city in the Ivory Coast, as a revolt over a pay dispute continues.
