Students of Bolgatanga Polytechnic on Monday staged a demonstration against executive of the Students Representative Council (SRC) over what they say is the mismanagement of funds. Two days after fire at Gold Coast Fund Management and GN Bank, business is back as clients are being served Monday morning. According to Groupe Nduom’s Research General Manager, Sammy Ampa, the Gold Coast Fund Management and GN Bank have both been moved to their former premises, where they started operating from. A 12-year-old boy who was apparently trying to drive across Australia has been stopped by police 1,300km (800 miles) into his journey. The boy was pulled over in Broken Hill in the New South Wales outback on Saturday after a patrol noticed the car’s bumper dragging on the ground. Police said the boy had been attempting to drive 4,000km from Kendall in NSW to Perth, Western Australia. He was arrested and taken to Broken Hill police station. Man Kaur, a 101-year-old athlete from India, won the 100 metres sprint at the World Masters Games in Auckland on Monday, celebrating with a little dance. Ms Kaur completed the race in one minute 14 seconds and was the only athlete to compete in her age category. She has been dubbed the “miracle from Chandigarh” in New Zealand’s media.
