Nigerian government has classified the Indigenous People of Biafra (Ipob) as a terrorist group, as earlier reported by the BBC. Declaring Ipob a terrorist organisation opens the door for mass arrests and military operations against the group. The Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North and a Deputy Minister of Education, Barbara Asher Ayisi, has called on the parents in the Central Region to invest in the education of their children. Managing Director of the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) Kenneth Ashigbey has tendered in his resignation letter, 3news.com can confirm. Mr Ashigbey wrote to employer National Media Commission (NMC) to relinquish his post. The new smart ‘Ghana Card’ shall be the only card to be used in transactions where identification is required as provided by law, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said. He added that the card will bring to an end the phenomenon of several agencies taking the biometric details of Ghanaian citizens. An “improvised explosive device” was detonated on a Tube train in south-west London during Friday’s rush hour, Scotland Yard has confirmed. The blast, at Parsons Green station on an eastbound District Line train from Wimbledon, is being treated as terrorism, police said.
