TV3’s Mothers’ Day celebration was indeed a day to remember as many mothers came to this year’s banquet organised by TV3. This year’s celebration focused on unity between mothers and their children. A mother who had vowed never to speak to her daughter until death because her daughter on so many occasions insulted her – to the extent of accusing her of being a witch – was encouraged to reconcile with her daughter. This emotional and heart-touching reunion was captured live on TV3 as both mother and daughter – Margaret Krampah and Deborah Gyasi respectively – were counselled by a…
There was confusion at the Ghana International Press Center in Accra, following the disruption of a press conference organised by pro-National Democratic Congress (NDC) group Action Movement. The group was addressing the press over possible causes of the party’s disappointing performance in the December 7, 2016 elections. Leader Kodzo Hamenya had accused the the National Executive Council and erstwhile leader, John Dramani Mahama, of disrespecting the grassroots, a possible cause of the one-touch defeat. Before finishing his warning to the former president against contesting in 2020, TV3’s Godfred Tanam reports, a dissentient in the audience ordered him to stop trading…

Emmanuel Macron is beginning his first day as French president, with picking a prime minster top of his to do list. He promised to convince people that “the power of France is not declining – that we are on the brink of a great renaissance”. Mr Macron…

A cyber-attack that has hit 150 countries since Friday should be treated by governments around the world as a “wake-up call”, Microsoft says. It blamed governments for storing data on software vulnerabilities which could then be accessed by hackers. It says the latest virus exploits a flaw in Microsoft Windows identified by, and stolen from, US intelligence. There are fears of more “ransomware” attacks as people begin work on Monday, although few have been reported so far. Many firms have had experts working over the weekend to prevent new infections. The virus took control of users’ files and demanded $300…

It may have been revenge for the Ghanaians, whose senior side was bundled out of winning the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, at the semi-final stage, by eventual champions Indomitable Lions. A brace each for Ayiah and…
