Former Ghana coach Sam Arday has passed away. Sam Arday, who coached the Black Stars, Black Satellites, Black Starlets and the Black Meteors, is reported to have died on Sunday, February 12 after a short illness. Popularly known as the ‘Multi System Man’, Sam Arday led Ghana to win the 1995 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Ecuador with the likes of Stephen Appiah, Awudu Issaka and Emmanuel Bentil. Kenya’s president has declared the drought, which has affected as much as half the country, a national disaster.
