The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) has listed illegal mining and the erratic gas supply from Nigeria as a major dampener on its ability to transmit power efficiently to consumers. At least 23 people have been killed and 25 wounded after gunmen opened fire on a bus carrying Coptic Christians in central Egypt, state media report. The incident occurred in Minya province, about 220km (140 miles) south of the capital Cairo, as the bus headed to the Monastery of St Samuel. Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has returned to Harvard University under rainy skies to give a graduation speech and receive an honorary degree. The world’s fifth-richest person, worth $62.3bn (£48.1bn), famously dropped out of Harvard after launching the global social-networking website. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is scheduled to leave Ghana for Monrovia, Liberia on Friday, May 26 as part of the third phase of his tour of West Africa. Prosecutors have passed a file to the country’s tax office, which will decide whether to press charges against the Portuguese Real Madrid striker. Reports in Spain say Ronaldo, 32, is suspected of defrauding 15m euros (£13m) between 2011 and 2014.
