President John Dramani Mahama has directed the Minister for Finance to release $78 million to Justmoh Construction Company to clear outstanding debts for work done on the Agona-Nkwanta Road project since 2024. The payment is expected to enable the contractor to fully resume work on the critical Western Region road corridor. The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Dr Patrice Motsepe, has announced that the biennial Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will now be held once every four years after 2028. The Bono Regional Police Command of the Ghana Police Service has successfully secured the conviction of four persons including a student for stealing 26 laptops and other items from the offices of the National Identification Authority (NIA) at Newtown, a suburb of Sunyani.
