Two students of St. Mary’s Boys Senior High School are battling for their life after being butchered with machete by suspected armed robbers on campus at Apowa in the Ahanta West District of the western Region. The students were attacked while sleeping, the PTA Chairman of the school, Nana Kweku Twum-Barima, told Connect FM News. They are part of the few students on campus as the school is on vacation. The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has raised the alarm over health crisis in Ghana’s prisons, and called for urgent and comprehensive healthcare for inmates in various prisons across the country. Medical doctors and dentists in public health facilities across the country have threatened to withdraw their services from next week if government fails to sign off new conditions of service for them. A two-year-old boy who was allegedly refused treatment for snake bite at the Upper West Regional Hospital in Wa has died. At least three people are dead and thousands have been displaced by a weekend of bushfires in Australia. On Sunday, the fire emergency’s third day, more than 100 blazes were still burning across New South Wales and Queensland.
