The Ghana Education Service (GES) has justified its decision to extend the mid-term holidays for senior high schools across the country by three more days. The GES in a November 7 memo to directors of education announced a postponement of the resumption date for SHS students on mid-terms, from November 12 to 15. The strategic partnership entered into between Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana has begun yielding dividends in cocoa production and marketing policy, President Nana Akufo-Addo has said. A living income differential of 400 dollars per tonne will be paid to farmers for all categories of cocoa beans from Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire for the 2020/2021 crop season, when implementation of the new price mechanism is begins. President Nana Akufo-Addo says his government has in the last three years fixed Ghana’s poor economic fundamentals left by the John Mahama administration.
