Bread used to celebrate the Eucharist during Roman Catholic Mass must not be gluten-free – although it may be made from genetically modified organisms, the Vatican has ruled. In a letter to bishops, Cardinal Robert Sarah said the bread can be low-gluten. But he said there must be enough protein in the wheat to make it without additives. Fire has ravaged part of the building of Architectural and Engineering Services Limited (AESL) at the Ministries area in Accra. Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service are on the ground trying to prevent the fire from spreading to a central server room belonging to the Ghana Highway Authority. Child rights activist, Bright Appiah, says he will not apologise for demanding a juvenile trial for an alleged 12-year-old boy being held together with others in connection with the gruesome murder of Major Adam Mahama. The death toll from flooding caused by recent heavy rain in southern Japan has risen to at least 15, officials say. Emergency teams are searching for another 15 people who are missing.
