An attempt by a form one student to murder his teacher who punished him for absenting from school has been foiled. Richard Koduah of the Birim B/A Junior High School in the Nsuta District of the Ashanti Region, in his bid to payback his female teacher, surreptitiously entered the teacher’s room into the roof carrying a knife and machete. Traditional authorities at Daboase in the Wassa East District of the Western Region are leading residents for a six-day spiritual exercise to exorcise what they say is evil spirit which has brought bad omen to the township. Following a Tuesday directive by the Tufuhene, residents of the town on Wednesday morning dumped solid waste from their respective homes with egg on top, on the main road in front of the Daboase Senior High School.
