The China-Africa Development Fund (CADFund) is to provide about US$1.5billion long-term loan for the construction of two 350MW coal-fired plant to meet future power demand. President John Dramani Mahama has advocated for an upward adjustment of the margin of preference given to local content under the Public Procurement Act.
