The Board Chair of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Keli Gadzekpo, has tendered in his resignation, effective April 9. In his resignation letter to President Akufo-Addo, Mr Gadzekpo cited personal reasons as his motive behind the move. The board chair further wished ECG and the government continued success in the effort to providing stable electricity for the country. His resignation however comes at a time when Ghana’s energy sector is facing a crisis, with the Electricity Company of Ghana facing criticism for not keeping the power on consistently.
