One of the major issues that rocked Ghana Football in the wake of the Anas’ expose was refereeing. Many referees in the country, some were of very high repute were hit and came under intense scrutiny. Ghana’s inflation rate on year-on-year rose, influenced by food and transportation prices. Annual inflation rose to 8.2% from 7.7% in October. This is after the country had recorded a 7.6%, the lowest since September 2013. Members of three teacher unions have been ordered by the High Court in Accra to immediately call off the ongoing strike and return to the classroom. The order follows an interlocutory injunction filed by the National Labour Commission (NLC) after its attempts to get the teachers to rescind their decision had failed.
